JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with a wide variety of electrical systems, materials, and tools
- Install electric vehicle chargers from leading giants such as Tesla
- Install solar grids for commercial and residential properties
- Be friendly and presentable in the client’s domain, for both residential and commercial jobs
- Ensure work performed by all electricians is of good workmanship and compliant with current NEC and local codes
- Troubleshoot system problems and resolve electrical issues
- Train, mentor, and develop electrical apprentices
- Maintain high quality control on company tools, vehicles, and materials needed for job responsibilities
- Maintain compliance to all PPE and safety regulations per OSHA and Elemental Energy solar standards
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Valid and current Oregon Journeyman Electrician License within the state (Washington License a strong plus)
- Thorough knowledge of the NEC, especially article 690, along with the ability to navigate the guidelines
- Understanding of wire and conduit sizing as well as how to make adjustments for environmental factors
- Ability to read and interpret one-line drawings and electrical schematics
- Capacity to perform the physical aspects of electrical work such as lifting 70 pounds, standing or crouching for long periods of time, holding arms above head
This position starts at $50-$56 per hour, depending on experience.
